SHIVA

Honestly, I’m a bit unsure what to make of this. The only synopsis provided was, “An unfinished loved story.” However, the project itself doesn’t seem to reflect a love story at all.

Shiva feels like a cross between a concept trailer and a sizzle reel as nothing really seems to flow together beyond the inclusion of the main actor/character names Shiva. It’s all over the place and strung together by a tremendously epic music track that feels terribly out of place from start to finish.

I wish I knew what to make of this, but I truly don’t. There are a few nice shot compositions, and there is definitely a strong level of passion on display by the lead. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this beyond that because I still don’t really understand what I watched. To start, a clearer narrative structure and further understanding of what they’re going for here would be helpful.
